Cellular Renewal

New skin cells form deep in the dermis and migrate upward over weeks. In your twenties that cycle runs about 28 days. By your forties and fifties it can take twice as long.
The quality of what eventually reaches the surface is determined at the cellular level, long before it is visible.
New cells form in the basal layer of the dermis. Fibroblast activity, collagen synthesis and cellular energy determine the quality of these cells from day one, and all of these slow with age. This is where Celergen acts.
Cells migrate upward through the epidermis. In younger skin this takes two to three weeks. After forty, the same journey can take four to six. Hydration, elasticity and resilience are set during this phase, and topicals cannot alter what is already in progress.
Cells reach the stratum corneum. This is where every serum and topical works, but the character of these cells was determined weeks earlier, deep in the dermis. By the time a topical reaches them, the outcome is already set.
Marine collagen and elastin peptides from salmon extract, 230 mg per capsule. Fibroblasts in the dermis are the cells responsible for producing collagen and elastin, and their activity declines markedly after forty.

Significant reduction in deep wrinkles
In a controlled 28-day study of 43 women aged 40 to 55, 71 percent of participants showed a significant decrease in deep wrinkle depth. A further 77 percent saw fine wrinkles no longer visible. The study also documented improved skin thickness, elasticity and hydration.
